Jackie Buerger, MS, LPC
Hello, I’m Jackie, a licensed therapist and the founder of Root & Roam Counseling. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in construction management, which means I’m no stranger to stress, problem‑solving, or getting things done in the real world. That background shows up in my therapy style — direct, practical, and focused on what actually helps.
Outside of work, I’m a mom of two small kids, an avid outdoors person and gardener, and a fitness enthusiast. I pay close attention to how life, stress, and burnout show up in the body, not just the mind. The way I live — moving, grounding, building, growing — shapes the way I show up as a therapist.
As a clinician, I’m blunt, honest, and not the “smile and nod” type. I pull from evidence‑based approaches like CBT, person‑centered therapy, MI, and somatic work, and I keep things straightforward. We look at what’s really going on, what’s keeping you stuck, and what needs to shift so you can feel more like yourself again.
I’m grateful to do this work and to walk with people through the messy, complicated parts of being human. It’s an honor every time someone lets me into their story.
